1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using StratLab ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Databased Investments (DBI) operates StratLab. Its financial planner lets you explore household goals, compare assumptions, save versions and generate reports for free. Financial planning does not require a paid trading subscription or a DBI enquiry.

Separate trading tools provide historical analysis, screening and configured notifications. They allow users to:

  • Run historical backtests on trading strategies
  • Analyze stock performance based on various parameters
  • Save and manage simulation results
  • Generate stock selections based on momentum criteria

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Financial Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: This Service is NOT financial advice.

StratLab is a tool for educational and analytical purposes only. We do not provide investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other type of advice. All information and results generated by the Service are for informational purposes only.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Past performance does not guarantee future results
  • Backtesting results may not reflect actual trading performance
  • You are solely responsible for your investment decisions
  • You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions
  • Trading stocks involves substantial risk and may not be suitable for all investors

Planning estimates and optional DBI discussion

Planning results are projections from your inputs and model assumptions. They are not promised returns, benefit entitlements, insurance quotes or a guarantee that a goal will be funded. Review the calculation date, assumptions and limitations shown with your plan. A current-year account rate is not guaranteed for every future year. Saved versions retain their captured assumptions until you choose to edit them.

DBI is a mutual fund distributor, not a SEBI Registered Investment Adviser. ARN-352793 is registered with AMFI to Ayush Nigam. DBI may receive distribution commissions from asset management companies. See DBI's service and commission disclosures.

A DBI request asks us to follow up. It does not book an appointment, create an advisory engagement, authorize a transaction or give staff access to all your plans. Any subsequent service, scope and applicable fees must be agreed separately. An adviser role in the app is an access permission, not a claim of professional registration.

Contact permission and sharing a selected plan version are separate choices. You can withdraw them from your request page and continue using the free planner. Previously received messages and exports are separate copies that cannot be recalled.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by StratLab and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent.

7. Payment and Subscriptions

Paid trading features remain subject to their displayed checkout terms. Free financial planning does not require payment. When purchasing a paid feature, you agree to:

  • Provide current, complete, and accurate billing information
  • Pay all charges incurred by you or any users of your account
  • Pay applicable taxes if any

Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, StratLab SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any financial losses incurred from trading decisions based on Service data
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or interruptions in the Service

10. Availability and Warranties

Maintenance, market-data, provider or delivery failures can interrupt the service or delay trading notifications. A successful scheduled trigger does not guarantee email delivery. Screening notifications are not execution orders or assurances that market data is current.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of data

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StratLab, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
