StratLab is operated by Databased Investments. It offers free financial-planning tools for Indian households, with an optional conversation about your plan.

Why is financial planning free?

The planner helps people understand their goals and introduces those who want personal help to DBI’s financial-planning business. You can build a plan without requesting a review. A review request is a separate choice with explicit contact and sharing permissions.

What the planner does

Bring together household income, spending, accounts and goals. Review assumptions, compare scenarios, save plan versions and download reports. The tools estimate outcomes under your inputs; they do not guarantee performance or execute investments.

The person behind DBI

Ayush founded Data Based Investments. Read his published background and the distinction between DBI’s mutual-fund distribution role and registered investment advice.

How we explain calculations

Our assumptions and sources separate model defaults from dated external references. Account timing and eligibility affect when money becomes available. A calculated target and a household’s ability to fund it are separate questions.

Public guides are published by Databased Investments. Illustrations are labelled and references linked alongside the claims they support. We identify an individual reviewer only when their review has been confirmed. An assumed return is not a forecast.

The worked household examples show specific inputs, trade-offs and limitations. Their downloadable data contains only fictional example numbers.
